    “Gaucin is een prachtig wit dorpje op een berg met een prachtig uitzicht over de bergen en de kust. Het is een klein dorpje, toeristisch maar met behoud van zijn oorspronkelijke karakter. Het is een kunstenaarsdorp met veel engelsen die daar vakantie vieren. Er zijn veel restaurantjes en barretjes, waar je lekker kunt eten tegen betaalbare prijzen. Ook heeft het wat duurdere restaurants. Wij hebben bij el Azulete gegeten, een aanrader. De mensen zijn erg vriendelijk en je wordt opgenomen in het dorpsleven. In de zomer wordt er van alles georganiseerd voor de locals en toeristen, zoals een cultuurweek, met wijnproeverij, film op het dorpsplein en een flamenco optreden van hoog nieveau. Minpuntje is dat je relatief ver van de kust zit, dwz ong een half uur rijden. Ronda is op 45 min rijden, maar de omgeving is echt prachtig”
