You also have a direct view of Botofte Skovmose. This very special house is located in a serene region. As a part of the restoration project of the Danish government, the wetland Botofte Skovmose was restored to nature. For conservation of species and different important landscapes, a 36 hectare lake, 16 hectare wetland and meadows of around 13 hectares were created. The entire project covers approximately 70 hectares. The new wetlands improve the breeding and living conditions of many birds and other animals in Botofte Skovmose. Special attention has been paid to the migratory birds because of an important route that passes through Langeland.
