For your winter holidays and summer excursions, we offer a holiday apartment on the ground floor of a complex from the late 1800s in Pleod, a municipality with many villages in the Aosta Valley, about 5 km from Aosta. A large outdoor area with garden furniture and barbecue is available for communal use. For shared use, to be booked on site and for a fee: wellness area with sauna and whirlpool. The Pila ski lifts are only 5 km away. The Pila ski area offers 70 km of pistes with altitudes between 1540 m and 2750 m. Here you will also find a snow park for snowboarding or freestyle and a miniclub and fun park for your children's fun. Ski lovers can also choose between other famous ski resorts such as Cervinia (51 km), La Thuile (51 km), Champoluc (61 km) and Gressoney (74 km). The Aosta Valley not only offers you the opportunity for skiing or outdoor activities, but is also a region rich in art and culture. In Aosta, you can admire numerous monuments from Roman times, including the Arco di Augusto and the Roman theatre, as well as the beautiful Chanoux square with its historic buildings and the Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta. Among the many castles that characterise the landscape, you should visit Fenis (11 km), Issogne (34 km), Verres (32 km) and Sarre (17 km). This is also an ideal place for your summer holiday: the area is rich in routes for hiking and mountain biking. Don't miss a visit to the Gran Paradiso National Park (25 km), where you can admire the local fauna during your excursions - an unforgettable experience, not just for your children. Pre Saint Didier, 39 km away, with its thermal baths and spas, is ideal for enjoying moments of absolute relaxation amidst the Alpine peaks. 110 km away, Turin, the first capital of Italy, offers a wide range of monuments and museums, including the famous Egyptian Museum and the Royal Palace of Venaria Reale. You can also sample the delicacies of Lardo di Arnad (bacon) and Fontina, a cheese with a rich culinary tradition. See also IAO155.
