When the wind and water conditions are favorable, a walk along the beach can provide a good opportunity to find amber. On the best bathing beach in Denmark, the south facing Hvidbjerg Strand, you get all the benefits of the North Sea and at the same time the beach is very child friendly as it is protected by Horns Reef, which is located about 12 km from the coast and is also the foundation for the large offshore windmill park. Also visit the lighthouse at Blåvandshuk, the westernmost point in Denmark.
