House in El Borge with Vegetable Garden and Splendid Views

We strictly follow all sanitary measures against COVID-19.Cortijo Lagar de Luisa is a 10.000 m2 property with easy access, surrounded by avocado trees, vineyards, almond and olive groves. An ecological vegetable garden belongs to this farmstead situated on a quiet little valley with splendid views.A lot of birds arrive in spring and bird watchers will enjoy the nature around. The Cortijo although newly built (year 2000), has followed traditional construction techniques with thick walls, baked clay floors & wooden ceilings. Its architecture is perfectly integrated into the surroundings. Four little houses with inpendent entrance are fully furnished & comfortable, have all a living room-cum-kitchen, a big bedroom & bath with shower. Air condition (hot-cold) in the living room, electric heating in bed- & bathroom. TV-microwave-hairdryer. The hot water system is working with solar energy. The little village of El Borge is 1.5 km from the Cortijo; the airport 50 km, Malaga 40 km & the beach 20 km. The German-Spanish owners live on the property & are always available for any help. At the same time, however, you are close to many of the attractions that are available on the Malaga coastline. The beaches are close and the city of Malaga is only a short trip by car. Not much farther away, you can spoil yourself with the numerous temptations the world famous Costa del Sol has to offer. Only a few hours by car are needed to discover the historic cities of Andalusia, like Ronda, Granada, Córdoba or Seville. In order to explore our region, we recommend the following existing routes: ROUTE OF THE RAISINS; OF THE SUN AND AVOCADO; OF THE SUN AND THE WINE; OF THE MUDEJAR, OF THE CLIFFS; ETC. For hiking fans, there are many routes that pass by El Borge, and some of them are marked by signs. The nature park "Sierra de Almijara and Tejeda" is about 30 car minutes away from El Borge; the nature park "Montes de Malaga" only 1 hour by car, and the nature park "El Torcal de Antequera" is only 1 h 15 min away. All nature parks have routes that are well marked and highly recommended for hikers, especially in autumn, winter and spring. Only some kilometres away from Nerja (50 minutes by car from El Borge) are the cliffs of Maro, a protected nature park with clear waters and small coves, which can only be reached on foot.Location description : El Borge is located in a district known as La Axarquia, in the southeastern part of the Malaga province. It lies at the foothills of the Ejido Mountain, 237 meters above sea level. It is a typical Andalusian White Village with friendly and hospitable natives, ideal for individualists who look for regions where the word "tourist" has still no significance. Strolling through the narrow streets with their white washed houses, you are remembered of El Borge's Arab origin. You come across various fountains, a church Muslim style from the 16th century in, a small ornithological park, and a strange, private ethnological museum, located in a luxuriant lemon grove that is open on weekends as a quiet bar. There are two small "supermarkets", two bakeries, some shops for meat and fish, four bars (three of them serving food), a small hotel restaurant, a pharmacy and a medical centre, which offers assistance from Monday to Friday.     “Uns hat der Urlaub sehr gefallen, die Unterkunft, die Umgebung und der Pool. Wir empfehlen es gerne weiter! Wer Ruhe und Entspannung sucht ist hier genau richtig. Und trotzdem kann man in wenigen Fahrminuten allen anderen typischen Urlaubsaktivitäten nachgehen. Positiv: Die Besitzer sind wirklich sehr freundlich. Sie besitzen ein wunderschönes Anwesen mitten in den Bergen zwischen Mangobäumen, Rosmarinsträuchern und sämtlichen anderen Pflanzen. Der Hund von Traute und Juan war sehr umgänglich und hat uns den ganzen Urlaub in Ruhe gelassen. (Eigentlich habe ich Angst vor Hunden). Zwischendurch wurde unser Zimmer gereinigt und Handtücher ausgetauscht. Sehr gefreut haben wir uns auch über die kleinen Aufmerksamkeiten während des Aufenthaltes - frischer
    Obstkorb, Brötchen und eine Flasche Likör. Negativ: Die Auffahrt zur Finca ist sehr steil aber machbar. Allerdings hatten wir einen Cabrio Opel Cascada angemietet, der leider recht tief war, sodass wir manchmal oben auf der Kante aufgesetzt hatte. Mit anderen Autos ist es wahrscheinlich einfacher. Sowieso empfehlen wir für die Gegend einen Kleinwagen. Da unser Navi uns ab und zu in eigentlich unpassierbaren Gassen in der Stadt geführt hat.

    Zur Ausstattung: wir hatten gelesen, dass es einen Grill gäbe. Allerdings war dies nur ein Tischgrill. Dies ist allerdings auch verständlich bei den trockenen Klima vor Ort. Im Nachhinein fanden wir den Tischgrill sogar besser. Es schmeckte genauso gut und keiner musste andauernd aufstehen um nach dem Grillgut zu schauen.
    Ansonsten war alles vor Ort, was man zum Beispiel in der Küche braucht - Müllbeutel, Spülmittel, Salz/Pfeffer, Kaffeefilter, Öl/Essig.”
