The pleasant Villa Son Morei is situated in a marvellous mountain location above the pretty village of Vilafranca de Bonany. The south-facing house not only offers a view of the village, but also a phenomenal panoramic view over the entire central island plain, the Plà de Mallora. Is there a better guarantee for a relaxing holiday? The property itself is surrounded by a very natural garden full of lush Mediterranean vegetation, which merges almost seamlessly into the mountains. Directly in front of the house is a spacious pool, nestled in a natural stone sun terrace with space for up to six sun loungers. One or two parasols provide shade. From the pool area, you have direct access to the house with its smooth surface and sandstone-framed façade. Once you have left the invigorating pool behind you, you enter the veranda with its portable barbecue and ensemble of polyrattan furniture, a wonderful outdoor dining area at any time of day. To the right, overlooking the village, a second spacious sun terrace has been constructed, a spectacular outdoor seating area. Thanks to a marvellous balcony directly in front of the suite, which completely fills the upper floor, the view from this height becomes even more delightful for any visitor who loves the wide blue over there.

The terraces lead into the interior of this fabulous villa. From the veranda you enter directly into the bright living room, whose walls are decorated with old master prints. This spacious room promises many cosy hours relaxing on soft cushions in front of the imposing open fireplace next to the wall-mounted LCD TV. Although you will find a dining area here, the sunlit kitchen also offers an alternative dining area. This well-proportioned area with doors to the terrace with side views of Vilafranca is fully equipped and tastefully designed. The kitchen cabinets are made of solid walls and are coordinated with the counter that separates the cooking and dining areas. The doors are made of caramel-coloured wood and the entire area is illuminated by ceiling spotlights. Together with the high-gloss sandstone-coloured wall tiles, which give the entire area an elegant touch. On the ground floor there is a guest WC, two of the three bedrooms and a wonderfully chic bathroom with walk-in shower, all tiled in nautical blue and white. The two bedrooms, one double and one twin, both have fitted wardrobes providing ample storage space for your holiday wardrobe. The entire upper floor is reserved for the master bedroom, where a studio offers not only a huge bedroom with the aforementioned balcony, but also a desk, a private flat screen TV and an additional sofa bed, making this villa an enviable location and exceptionally affordable price, an attractive option in low season even for just two people. So if you would like to spend your holiday in the countryside and still be close to the nearest village, Son Morei is the place for you.

The fertile plain in the centre of the island is known for its fragrant produce, which is often available at the roadside or, if you prefer, at the market on Placa Major in Vilafranca. Delicious vine tomatoes, pimientos (green peppers) as well as apricots and the famous honey-sweet melons are typical of this region, even if agriculture has lost some of the importance it once had. The small town, just a two-minute drive away, has been spared from mass tourism, so you can get in touch with the Mallorcans while enjoying a morning caffé con leche and buying your breakfast rolls. As the house is located on a tarmac road above the village (although it is a cul-de-sac, some traffic noise can be heard depending on the wind direction), local connecting roads are within easy reach. If you like it a little more urban, simply drive to Manacor for a shopping spree. The cosy, newly built Villa Son Morei overlooks the pretty town of Vilafranca de Bonany and is situated in a beautiful mountain location in the heart of the island. Shops can be found in the village and there is a weekly market on the Placa Major on Wednesdays. For more extensive shopping opportunities, head to Petra or Manacor. The Calas de Mallorca on the east coast can be reached by car for a day trip to the beach; the stunningly beautiful natural bay of Cala Varques is approx. 25 km away.
