Beautiful holiday home on the island of Aarø, built in 2014. A ceiling open to the ridge lets in plenty of light, and there are also large windows. A half-wall separates the kitchen from the living room, where the whole family can enjoy their holiday together. Heat pumps ensure low energy consumption and therefore low costs, and there is also a cosy wood-burning stove. There are good beds in the house and the furnishings reflect the owners' good taste. On the partly covered terrace you have the opportunity to enjoy different seasons. You can swim well on the island, as is typical for an island, it is never far to the sea. There are only a few cars on the island. Even the younger members of the family can cycle around the whole island. On the way, you can visit the lovely adventure playground, which is not far from the house. You can also go shopping on the island. A visit to the farm Brummers Gård is a real experience, where specialities from Danish islands are on offer. You can also savour meat from the exclusive Galloway cattle in the restaurant. At Brummers you can also hire bikes, sea kayaks, a fishing net for children and boller carts - everything you might need on a real island trip. The island's winemaker also offers locally produced wine with dinner. You can also arrange a wine tasting with the winegrower. The ferry Helene takes you from Aarø on a beautiful journey through the 12 kilometre long fjord to Haderslev. Haderslev is a beautiful old town with good speciality shops and museums. When you arrive at the ferry harbour, you will be told that the ferry departs once an hour and, if necessary, more often so that you can reach the island within 15 minutes. There are fishing boats and pleasure boats in the harbour. Fishing is good all over the island.
